This year has already started with a bang with Lauren being featured in the eighteenth season of American Idol. She has also been nominated by the Juno Awards 2020 for Best Adult Contemporary Album of the Year for her album Unplugged Vol. 1.
Just last year, Lauren’s video of her singing Lady Gaga’s Always Remember Us This Way in her mom’s car goes viral on Facebook. 300,000 followers later, she is invited to Steve Harvey’s talk show, where she performs Pink’s What About Us to a cheering audience.
Lauren also releases her first singles — her studio-recorded covers of Always Remember Us This Way and Lewis Capaldi’s Someone You Loved.
Lauren uses her skills to win $600 from a local Nanaimo contest for singing (and uses the earnings to buy Luke Bryan tickets!)
At this point, Lauren’s video of her performing alongside Keith Urban has amassed one million views on YouTube. A few months later, it reaches two million.
At Sunfest 2015, Lauren performs onstage with music legend Keith Urban at just 11 years old! Their rendition of Bob Dylan’s Make You Feel My Love woos the crowd and cements Lauren within the Vancouver music scene.
One year after the last competition, Lauren reenters and this time comes in 1st! She takes home a trophy and a $100 prize pool.
By age eight, Lauren enters a local Vancouver karaoke competition and comes in 2nd place.
In Grade 2, Lauren continues her talent show performances by singing Firework, by Katy Perry, demonstrating to teachers and peers alike her capabilities.
In Grade 1, Lauren enters her first-ever talent show where she performs a Hannah Montana song for her elementary school. Small beginnings, but a surefire sign of her love of music.
